We take the job of being good famers very seriously.  Sure, the outcome is producing plenty of quality milk solids. But to do this we need to ensure the future of our dairy herds by monitoring the welfare and care of our young stock.   

This is an entry-level opportunity, so maybe you’ve just finished your studies and are looking for your first role in farming or you’ve spent a season elsewhere. No experience is necessary; however, the right attitude is vital.  You will get involved in a bit of everything; pasture management, stock work, animal health, general farm maintenance and farm machinery.  A huge emphasis is placed on sustainable farming practices and keeping the farm in a very tidy and enjoyable working environment. 

Elya Holdings is a Specialist Grazing Unit situated at The Key in the Te Anau Basin comprising of 723 ha. The property has excellent infrastructure and facilities and is farmed in two blocks – Matua (chief) and Atanga (stunning).  Atanga is home to an award winning and QE11 Trust protected native riparian and wetlands area covering over 60 hectares.
