Winning at the Dairy Awards

Last night's 2026 Southland/Otago Dairy Industry Awards showcased the incredible talent we have in New Zealand farming.  It also showcased the incredible talent we have in the Fortuna Family.

Scott & Stacey Mackereth from Gleneden Dairies, were victorious in the Share Farmers of the Year Award, progressing through to the National  Dairy Industry Awards.  Joining them is Lan Bariuad from Miraka Dairies, who won the Dairy Manager of the Year Award. 

The competition was tough and the judging meticulous, but they successfully showcased their talent and made the Fortuna family proud.  In fact, they didn’t stop at taking two of the top awards, also claiming:

  • The Dairy Manager Merit Award for the CowManager Livestock Management Award (Lan Bariuad)
  • The Dairy Manager Merit Award for the DeLaval Pasture & Feed Management Award (Lan Bariuad)
  • The Share Farmer Merit Award for the Trelleborg Sustainable Pasture Award (Scott & Stacey Mackereth)
  • The Share Farmer Merit Award for the Landpro Environmental Sustainability Award (Scott & Stacey Mackereth)
  • The Share Farmer Merit Award for the Honda Farm Safety, Health & Biosecurity Award (Scott & Stacey Mackereth)
